How to create a QR code — 3 steps
- 1Paste your URL
Type or paste the URL for your business, menu, WiFi, or social media. The QR updates instantly.
- 2Pick size and color
Use Medium (512 px) for table QR codes, Large (1024 px) for posters. Customize colors to match your brand.
- 3Download as PNG
Click 'Download PNG'. The image is opaque, ready to send directly to a printer.
Printing tips
- Print at least 3 cm × 3 cm; scale up with reading distance (tabletop 3–5 cm, poster 15+ cm).
- Color contrast matters — dark dots + light background is ideal. Inverse contrast (light on dark) works but is not recommended.
- After printing, test with 3 different phones; reflections, distance, and dirt can affect scanning.
- For print, choose 'High' error correction level — stays scannable even when soiled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. No signup, no usage limit, commercial use allowed. We claim no rights on QR codes you generate.
Does the QR code expire?
No. This tool produces 'static' QR codes — the URL is embedded directly in the QR. It works as long as the QR exists; there's no expiry or tracking.
In what format is the downloaded QR code?
PNG format, in your selected size (256/512/1024 px). The image has a small margin and an optional 'sevvo.com.tr' watermark at the bottom. Uncheck the box to remove the watermark.
What does error correction level do?
If your QR gets dirty or partially unreadable, error correction helps it still be scannable. Low (~7%) makes smaller QRs, High (~30%) makes larger but more resilient ones. For print, we recommend 'High'.
I need a QR code for my menu — is this tool enough?
This tool creates static QRs. If your menu changes often (prices, items), you don't want to reprint QRs each time — Sevvo's 'Dynamic Menu QR' keeps the QR the same and lets you update menu content behind the scenes. Try free at sevvo.com.tr.
How big should the QR be on a table?
Rule of thumb: minimum 3 cm side length; phone should read from 30 cm away. Standing signage (WiFi) 8 cm; poster 15+ cm. A 1024 px PNG prints crisp at 8 cm and 300 DPI.
